Thank you for visiting our web site. This privacy statement regulates how personal information can be used by Victoria Commercial Bank Limited (VCB). DEFINITIONS

Usage Data is defined as “data collected automatically either generated using the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).

The right of rectification: You have the right to have your information rectified if that information is inaccurate or incomplete.
The right to object: You have the right to object to our processing of your Personal Data.
The right of restriction: You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal information.
The right to data portability: You have the right to be provided with a copy of the information we have on you in a structured, machine-readable, and commonly used format.
The right to withdraw consent: You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time where VCB relied on your consent to process your personal information.

You have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commissioner about our collection and use of your Personal Data if we are in breach of the above rights.



DISCLOSURE OF DATA

• Business Transaction
We may disclose your Data if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale. We will provide notice before your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy statement.

• Disclosure for Law Enforcement
We may also disclose your Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by authorized public authorities (e.g., a court or authorised government agencies etc).

• Legal Requirements
VCB may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

DATA SECURITY ASSURANCE

At VCB, the protection of your personal information is of utmost importance. We maintain rigorous security measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. While we implement commercially reasonable security measures to safeguard your data, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure. Our valued customers are obligated to take an active role in ensuring the security of their personal information. To avoid unauthorized access to your account, it is vital to keep your User ID and password confidential and not share it with anyone. Additionally, we require our customers to immediately inform us in the event of any suspected or confirmed the security breach, such as the disclosure of your User ID and password to a third party, loss, or theft.
In the event that you think and or know your User ID and/or password has been disclosed to a third party, is lost, or stolen and unauthorized transactions may have been conducted, you are responsible to inform us immediately.



RETENTION & DISPOSAL OF PERSONAL DATA

VCB will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary mandated by law to achieve the purpose for which they were collected. The following retention criteria is used:
• Where we have an ongoing relationship with you.
• To comply with a legal obligation to which it is subject.
• Where retention is advisable to safeguard or improve the Bank’s legal position.
We will normally destroy or erase data after statutory timelines lapse. However, we may retain your information, or information relating to your account after you cease to be a customer for longer than this, provided it is necessary for a legal, regulatory, fraud prevention or other legitimate business purpose.
